A Half Bison in Quarterly Deliveries

We understand that not everyone has enough freezer space to accept a half or whole bison at one time, so we've created the Homestead Half.

Here's what you get:

1. Approximately half a bison including the variety of cuts you would typically get — see below for details.
2. Delivered in four convenient boxes of 37.5 lbs each — which usually fits in a standard fridge freezer.
3. Deliveries are made once a quarter, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy before your next delivery.
4. No fussing over a custom butchering sheet, we do it for you.

All of our bison are rotationally grazed in lush pastures, never fed grain and it is free of hormones & antibiotics.

How will I be billed after paying the deposit?

Pickup:

We offer delivery for the homestead half. Once your bison is boxed, you will receive an email to finalize the time and place of delivery.

Farm pickup is always an option. It would be scheduled on any Saturday after your order is ready.

You can choose the most convenient pickup point during checkout.

Care Instructions

Your bison will be frozen before delivery and packed into insulated boxes to maintain freshness.

Please get your bison home and into the freezer as soon as possible after pickup.

What's in a homestead half?

We created a selection of cuts that add up to roughly a half animal. You may get the boxes in any order, but you will get one of each, guaranteed.

    Sirloin, Inside Round, Ground, Maple Breakfast Sausage, Frying Sausage, Stir Fry Strips

  • Free Pickup For Our Signature Boxes

    Our Signature Boxes & Add-Ons are available for pickup at the farm or a local drop-off point (which can be selected during checkout).

  • Free Delivery for Quarter, Half & Whole

    Our Homestead Half, Quarter, Half & Whole clients can pick up the same way as our Signature Boxes or have it delivered within 100 km of Hay Lakes.
